As you may have noticed on the website, we have a Kickstarter campaign going on at the moment.

We are a full week into our attempt to bring the Lightstep Chronicles into the world, and it’s time to reflect on the achievements before focusing on what’s yet to come.

After a week-long training in anxiety and anticipation that followed the campaign’s launch, we can finally let out a cautious sigh of relief. In the first seven days we reached 56% of our campaign goal, with more than 300 people choosing to follow our campaign trail, and many more cheering us on from the sidelines. If you are one of them, we thank you from the bottom of our inked and lettered hearts.

Lightstep Chronicles have also been featured by Kickstarter in the website’s “Projects We Love” section, which has also made our day – we all want to keep our parents happy!

Since this is our first campaign and we are a bunch of who-are-theys from a weird part of the world that not many people know much about – except that we have an uncanny talent for basketball – we are floored with the support we got for our project. It fills us with pride, joy, energy and inspiration to see people from all parts of the world show their interest and support for our comic book. That alone has made this whole venture worth it.

Of course, this is just the first checkpoint on the long and winding road into the unknown, and we are sure that the path ahead is dark and full of terrors (can you tell that we miss Game of Thrones?), but with so many of you already on our side we feel that our walk to the finish line may be a victorious one.

You can help make it so, by spreading the word of our glorious conquest and encouraging others to support our cause and carry the news of a brand new galaxy within the reach of their fingertips.

We need you to be our Lightstep ambassadors, our missionaries, our traveling salesmen and our manic street preachers. We couldn’t have made it this far without you, and we won’t make it until the end unless we all join forces and envision the birth of a galaxy so vivid that others will wish to inhabit it as well.

Let’s make it happen!
